The members of the Midland Civitan club would like to thank all those who helped make our 2025 Santa Claus parade a success. Thanks to all of the community groups , businesses, and individuals who took part by entering floats , costumed characters , costumed pets , and marching groups. The music, colourful floats, enthusiastic participants and nice weather made for a great parade. Special thanks to the town of Midland Operations Dept., and the OPP for their help with temporary road closures and traffic control during the event. Also a thank you to our tv announcers , judges , and Nicole Major for all of her assistance.
The following entries were chosen as trophy winners by our judges.
1st place: Mundy's Bay school for Gingerbread Land
2nd place: St. Theresa's high school for their Academy of Funk Christmas music
3rd place: Midland Royal Canadian legion for their Victory Train. The President's Choice was the Georgian Bay dream team's Island of Magic featuring Lilo and Stitch.
The best musical entry was presented to the RCL Pipes and Drums and Best Costumes went to Tails and Trails for How The Grinch stole the TNT bus.
Congratulations and thanks to everyone. Most importantly thanks to the thousands of enthusiastic spectators who came out to watch our 49th Midland Civitan Santa Claus parade. Next year’s parade will be extra special due to it being a milestone 50th annual parade.

Midland Civitan Club Santa Claus Parade 2026
Dear Friends,
You are cordially invited to join us in celebrating the most wonderful time of the year at our 50th annual Christmas parade with the reminiscent theme of “Christmas time - 1976!”
This year, we are celebrating a very special milestone - 50 years of Christmas parades in our community!Our theme, “Christmas time - 1976!” invites us to step back in time and celebrate the sights, sounds, traditions and memories of Christmases past. We encourage everyone to embrace the spirit of 1976 in their costumes, floats and decorations, bringing to life the magic, nostalgia and joy of the holiday season from 50 years ago.
Whether inspired by favourite toys, music, fashion, Christmas traditions or the festive spirit of the 1970s, we invite you to help us create a parade filled with cherished memories, community spirit and Christmas magic.
Let's celebrate 50 years of making Christmas memories together!
Events Details:
Date: Saturday November 21, 2026
Time: 11:00am
Location: Little Lake Park Road proceeding North on King Street culminating on Bay Street. Arrival for registration is from Yonge Street entrance to Little Lake Park beginning at 9:00am.
To avoid congestion all participants meeting a float are to be dropped off at the NSSRC front doors and will be required to walk down.
Floats, performers, and participants of all ages are welcome to be a part of this festive extravaganza. So, gather your friends, family and colleagues and be a part of the merriment for the whole community.
Steps for Registration:

- Let your creativity shine and don't forget to include a brief description of your entry on the registration form for the commentators! This is a recorded and broadcasted event, and trophies are awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd , best music, best costumes, and Civitan Presidents choice entry. ** Please note - Advertising only entries are prohibited so decorate and celebrate!
- Deadline: The deadline for registration is Monday November 16, 2026, by 5:00pm. Please submit your entry through the link above to secure your spot in the parade.
