2. Outstanding Club Scrapbook (William L. Murphy - Banner Patch)

Selection Responsibility: Awards Committee

Awarded: Winter Convention

The scrap book for the previous Civitan Administration year is taken to the Winter Convention where it will be judged.

This award is presented to the Club submitting the most outstanding scrap book covering Club activities for immediate past fiscal year. Scrapbook should be informative, illustrative and as attractive as possible and tell your Club story (a great tool to be displayed at VIP meetings). In judging, emphasis is placed on content, format, attractiveness and readability.

3. Outstanding Community Service (Jack Scott - Banner Patch)

Selection Responsibility: Awards Committee

Awarded: Winter Convention

The award is presented to the Club which provides the most outstanding service to the community through a series of projects or a single project. In judging consideration is given to overall benefits to community and club membership staff hours involved in project.

4. Outstanding Club Service to Mentally/Physically Challenged (Bud Gallop Banner Patch)

Selection Responsibility: Awards Committee

Awarded: Winter Convention

The award is presented to the Club which has given the most outstanding service in any area of work with the mentally and/or physically challenged. Consideration is given to the number of club members involved, staff hours spent and benefits to the community.

5. Outstanding Club Service to Youth (Gerry King - Banner Patch)

Selection Responsibility: Awards Committee

Awarded: Winter Convention

The award is presented to the Club which renders most outstanding service in any area of Youth Work. Consideration given to number of Club members involved and staff hours spent and commitment to Youth in the Community.

6. Outstanding President (Peter Street - Keeper Plaque)

Selection Responsibility: Past Governor from application submitted by Club

Awarded: Winter Convention

The award is presented to the Club President who has contributed the greatest effort and leadership in the growth, development and success in his/her Club and Civitan during his/her administrative year. Must include accomplishments with reference to new projects started, success of existing projects, increased membership, improvement in fellowship, interest and participation in District functions.

7. Outstanding Non-Civitan Volunteer (Wes Armstrong - Keeper Plaque & Trophy)

Selection Responsibility: Awards Committee

Awarded.. Winter Convention

The award is presented to a Non-Civitan Volunteer who has been active in the community or service area, has shown outstanding and unselfish dedication to their cause. Can be in any service field. Must have been involved for at least ten years.

8. Civitan of the Year (Douglas R. Jordan - Keeper Plaque)

Selection Responsibility: Awards Committee

Awarded: Regional Convention

The award is presented to an individual in Civitan who has contributed of her/himself in time and effort for the betterment of Civitan in their community. Consideration given to offices held in the Club, committees chaired or served on, individual contribution and involvement outside of Civitan.

9. District Honour Key (Honour Pin)

Selection Responsibility: Honour Key Committee

Awarded: Regional Convention

This is the highest and most prestigious District award a Civitan can receive. Although usually presented for District service of over a number of years, it may be awarded for a shorter period of time. Nominations should deal with contributions of the individual to District only with no references to Club contributions. The selection of the individual is made similar to our Club Honour Key in that a committee is set up to analyze the applications that have been received and make their recommendations to the District Board, who in turn gives their approval.

10. Dick & Mary Anne Ivens Team Civitan Award

Selection Responsibility: Awards Committee

Awarded: Winter Convention - Dinner

This award will be presented to the couple who exemplify what Civitan is all about. They must have worked towards bettering their club and the district. This award is to be submitted to the Past Governor and can be submitted by a club or any member. It can include other materials such as pictures or clippings.

11. Bert Palmer "Friend to Youth Award"

Selection Responsibility: Sr. & Jr. Past Governors (if Jr. Governor is available.)

Awarded: Winter Convention - Dinner

This award is presented to an individual who has worked exceptionally and cooperatively with a Junior Civitan Club or the district. The award is to be submitted in a letter format and may include other materials such as pictures, clippings or letters of endorsements. The submission is to be made to the Immediate Past Sr. Governor.
